A note to advise on the death of Patrick Nicholas Mahon, father of our PRO and former youths & minis coach Peter Mahon and grandfather of former mini & youth players JJ & Harry Mahon.

Paul Stapleton, President Naas RFC, the Members and Executive members extend their sympathies to his sons Peter and David, daughters-in-law Vivienne (Brophy) and Emma (Hilliard), grandchildren Betha, JJ, Josh, Alyson and Harry. His brothers Fr John Mahon C.S.Sp, Michael and Kevin, sisters in law Josephine (Stanley) Patricia (Waters), Ann (Hennessy) and Cora (McDonald), his brothers-in-laws Tom Waters and Brian Wates and all members of the immediate and extended Mahon family.

May he rest in peace.

Patrick Nicholas Mahon

The death has occurred of Pat Mahon, Dun Mhuire, Leinster Walk, Kildare Town and formerly of JJ Mahon & Sons, Claregate Street, Kildare Town.

Peacefully in the loving care of the amazing staff of Craddock House Nursing Home Naas.

Predeceased by his loving wife Jean (Waters), his dear sisterGertrude and brother Nicholas, his sisters in law Mairead and Maeve and his brother in law Jim.

Deeply regretted by his loving sons Peter and David, daughters-in-law Vivienne (Brophy) and Emma (Hilliard), Pat’s beloved and much loved and cherished grandchildren Betha, JJ, Josh, Alyson and Harry. His brothers Fr John Mahon C.S.Sp, Michael and Kevin, sisters in law Josephine (Stanley) Patricia (Waters), Ann (Hennessy) and Cora (McDonald), his brothers-in-laws Tom Waters and Brian Wates.

Sadly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews and all his relatives, his wonderful and supportive neighbours in Leinster Walk and a wide circle of much loved and adored friends.

A special mention to Ruth Hall and Mary Finn who for many years were a big part of our family’s life and who cared for him at home and in recent times the wonderful staff of Homecare Solutions, especially Litho, Laura and Mark, who all looked after him so well in the last few years of his life.

A special mention to Professor George Mellotte of TUH for the amazing care he gave to Pat for the last 14 years and the amazing staff of the Dialysis Unit in Tallaght Hospital who cared and minded him so well. Your kindness and support will be forever remembered.

Reposing at McWey’s Funeral Home, Abbey View, Kildare Town, on Tuesday the 7th March day from 5pm to 8pm with Prayers at 7pm. Funeral on Wednesday morning the 8th March at 11am where his requiem mass will be in St. Brigid's Parish Church, Kildare Town and afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Kildare Town where he will join his much loved and adored wife Jean (RIP).
