EXCITING SEASON AHEAD FOR NAAS WOMEN! 2026/2027

Our Women’s team kick off their Leinster Division 1 campaign this Sunday with an away trip to newly promoted Edenderry

Now in their third consecutive season in Division 1, the squad faces another highly competitive league and will be targeting a strong top-half finish.

There’s a new-look coaching team in place, led by Head Coach Niall Kane, alongside Daniel Tickelpenny, Lorenzo Palacio, Eugene Van Wyk and Team Manager Alix Benn.

Introducing our co-captains for the season:

Ciara McKeown – A true one-club player who has worn the Naas jersey since the age of 14. One of our most-capped women, Ciara is a strong defender, dynamic around the breakdown and a natural leader.

Emma Lackey – Another product of the Naas pathway, Emma returned to Forenaughts two seasons ago after spells with DCU, St Mary’s and Old Belvedere. A powerful and physical presence in the back row, Emma has quickly become a key player for Naas.

With growing numbers, exciting young talent coming through our girls’ teams and new players joining the club, the future is looking bright — with plans also underway for a developmental second team later in the season.

New players are always welcome!
Whether you’re an experienced player or completely new to rugby, come and be part of the Naas Women’s squad.
