It is a great honour for me to be your Chairman of such a great Rugby Football Club - Naas RFC. As a former player, coach, head of minis, head of youths and now Chairman it is an honour for me and my family to be Chairman of Naas Rugby Club for the upcoming season. The last few seasons have been different and not seen before but with the resilience of you the members we have been able to come through and now we head into a new and exciting season. Our AIL Team made it to the playoffs for the 1st time in Division 1B, our Women's Team have won promotion in the Leinster League and our Youths and Minis continue to prosper and develop. Our Special Needs Team - The Vipers grow from strength to strength and our Rattlers show such enthusiasm and will flourish when they start at U7.
A Club is full of volunteers and we are lucky to have so many in the Club, from the Coaches, the referees, to the team and crew in the Clubhouse, our grounds team, the different committees who take on roles during the year behind the scenes, the Executive Committee and you the general members who support us during the year on the sidelines and with your continued support in our fundraising initiatives. As always I would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the financial support we receive from our Sponsors. Without them we could not provide the excellent facility we continue to develop. It is the intention of the Development Committee to continue to grow and develop Forenaughts.
At Naas RFC, we continue to nurture talent that go on to represent the Club in the regional teams in the North Midlands, and further afield for the provincies and some onto Ireland - to those that represent the Club we appreciate all that you do to support us in Forenoughts. I would like to especially thank all the help that we get from our colleagues and friends in Leinster Rugby and the IRFU. Your guidance and support ensures that we continue to develop and grow.
A Club is only as good as it's supporters - you the members - would you like to give something back to the Club by getting involved in any aspect. We would love to hear from you. Look at the Contact Us page on the website where you will see all the contact details. We are always looking for supporters.
if you want to keep up to date on all that is going on - follow us on social media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and also on Club Zap. Naas RFC is a special place, we are a community club. I hope to meet many of you during the season on the sidelines, in the Clubhouse, at events or even on the road away at matches. I thank you all for the opportunity to represent you, the members and the Club and I look forward to your support during the year.
